    Excellent Part-Time Physician for MAT program Cartersville, GA
    This is a great opportunity to provide medical care to a Medication Assisted Treatment program in Cartersville, GA This Adult, outpatient program
    provides Addiction Medicine patients require care from specialty-trained professionals, in a highly-specialized, and quality-focused environment. You would see 15 patients per day, and supervise a nursing staff of 3 with 5 clinical counseling staff.

    The Medical Director is responsible for leadership, quality assurance, oversight and overall medical management of the clinic within the boundaries of state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.

    Responsibilities include planning, organizing medical and clinical practices; providing direct patient care and assisting other departments with direct interactions with physicians or medical staff.


    Responsible for providing medical care for prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication to patients at the clinic, and within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility or clinic policy or procedures;
    Performs physical exams on patients admitted for medication maintenance to establish medical diagnosis for acute and chronic health problems;
    Reviews medical information on patients to ensure medical stability, eligibility for program, and to offer medical recommendations;
    Provides patient and staff education on medical maintenance;
    Reviews and completes medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures;
    Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policy and procedure; Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) from an accredited college or university
    Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the clinic(s) operates
