Job Description
The College of Nursing and Health Science (CONHS) at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) invites applications for a 9-month, full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of Physiology to begin as early as fall 2024. Rank will be determined upon review of qualifications and experience.
The CONHS tenure-track faculty responsibilities include teaching, service and implementation and evaluation of courses and student learning. This faculty member is expected to support the design and delivery of human physiology content in an integrated, cross-disciplinary, active learning-based
curriculum. Applicants is expected to possess credentials in teaching physiology in a health professions educational setting in the United States. Faculty are expected to model exemplar professional behavior through work with students, peers, and community colleagues and to provide student support to include mentoring, advising, recruiting, and project supervision. Faculty are also expected to participate in the CONHS activities that contribute to achieving TAMUCC and CONHS organizational goals.

Required Qualifications:
An earned doctorate from an accredited institution in in Anatomy & Physiology or very closely related field (Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Physiology).
Evidence of significant scholarly activity and productivity for rank
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
To be considered for Associate Professor rank, a minimum of five (5) years of experience at the assistant professor or comparable rank is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Formal coursework and experience teaching physiology to nursing and professional students
Experience with classroom/didactic course teaching.
Experience with web-based course delivery, including on-line course development, online teaching, and application of best practices in online education.
Experience teaching or participating in health care simulations.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with community practice partners.
