About this Role

As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect (AWS / Hybrid Environments) , you will design, modernize, and sustain secure cloud and hybrid environments that support mission-critical systems. You will help shape cloud strategy across programs, ensuring infrastructure is scalable, resilient, and compliant with operational security requirements.

This role spans architecture, implementation, and advisory responsibilities. You may support greenfield cloud deployments, hybrid integrations with on-premise systems, or modernization of legacy environments. You will work closely with DevOps engineers, software developers, security teams, and mission stakeholders to translate operational requirements into robust cloud architectures.

Depending on experience level, you may lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and define infrastructure standards across teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Maintain an active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Candidates without a current clearance will not be considered.
• Design secure, scalable cloud and hybrid architectures
• Develop reference architectures and deployment patterns
• Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions for reproducible environments
• Design networking, identity, and access management strategies
• Support migration of applications and services to cloud environments
• Architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
• Evaluate and select cloud services aligned with mission requirements
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD and automation workflows
• Ensure infrastructure aligns with security, compliance, and accreditation requirements
• Document architectural decisions and technical roadmaps

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Experience designing and deploying infrastructure in AWS or similar cloud environments
• Strong understanding of networking, routing, and cloud connectivity models
• Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies
• Experience designing secure identity and access management strategies
• Understanding of hybrid cloud integration patterns
• Experience working in Linux-based environments
• Ability to translate mission requirements into scalable architectural designs

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing cloud environments in high-security or regulated environments
• Familiarity with multi-account cloud governance and policy enforcement
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability best practices
• Experience implementing zero-trust or defense-in-depth architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tooling
• Experience supporting production CNO capabilities and operations
• Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

Salary Range

Junior: $115k - $165k

Mid-Level: $150k - $250k

Senior: $225k - $315k

These ranges include our flex income and depend upon your annual work hours.

Salary is determined on an individual basis following the interview process and considering various factors such as years of experience, skills, education, and certifications.
