Job Description:
    Title: Maintenance Technician
    Location: Providence, RI
    Full time - 40 hours / week plus on-call
    $23.00 /hour

    Skills and Qualifications:
    • Ability to perform preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance safely, accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Experience with general HVAC repairs, pump and filter maintenance
    • Solid painting, plumbing and carpentry skills
    • Knowledge of basic electrical repairs
    • Excellent attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are thoroughly and accurately completed
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to listen and communicate professionally.
    Job Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Satisfies service requests per work orders, following company procedures
    • Observes condition of general facility, mechanical room, and/or other areas and reports any unusual circumstances
    • Repair/replace ceiling tiles, light fixtures, display boards,
    • Services plumbing and electrical fixtures
    • Checks locks for functionality
    • Performs regular inspections of the building, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment
    • Makes repairs and replacements as necessary with the approval of the Chief Facility Engineer and/or Facility Manager
    • Inspects motor/VAV boxes for any needed maintenance or repairs
    • On call for emergency duty
    • Familiar with power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers and fire hydrants
    • Assists in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
    • Ensures facility and property is neat, clean and free of trash and debris
    • Attends all required instructional classes
    • Assists with any additional duties as required by management.
