    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education - The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business, Animal Science, Sales or related field preferred.
    Language Skills - The ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.

    Math Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

    Physical Demands - Must be met by an employee to successfully perform job.
    Required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Frequent need to talk and hear. Occasional need to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

    Work Environment -Time is regularly spent on customer's/prospect's premisesTime is regularly spent driving a carTime is regularly spent in home office, the expectation being that this is to be no more than 20% of the workday.

    Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. May need to wear coveralls when needed.
    Additional SkillsOn farm experience working with livestock in an agricultural setting.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an established Agricultural business who are searching for a Sales/Nutrition Rep for their operation.
    The Sales/Nutrition Rep role involves selling feed and providing nutritional management services. It involves taking orders from existing customers and securing prospective customers through on farm visits and other communications. It is required to provide detailed information about various feeds, nutritional programs and services offered by the company.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    Maintaining, developing and generating feed sales. Must provide a reliable and consistent experience for the customer.
    Regularly meeting with customers to review feeding programs, feeds needed and other opportunities. Must be willing to stand along side the owner with support.
    Understanding of on farm terms and professional industry terms and ability to relate within both environments.
    Must calculate, measure and collect data with understanding and accuracy.
    Collaborates across multiple platforms within company and industry resources.
    Identifies customer needs and helps to create products to satisfy those needs.
    Must be an effective problem solver and be resourceful when searching for solutions.
    Must be well versed in the industry and understand trends in order to clearly communicate this information to customers.

    Basic knowledge of general nutrition, collect key indicators for the customer and create a process map of goals and visions for the customer.

    Generating and developing sales through increased tonnage and through cold calling.

    Enhancing current knowledge on new feed, ration balancing, procedures, solutions and resources by attending Sales MeetingsMaintaining professionalism, diplomacy, understanding, and courtesy to represent the company s feeds in good reputation - Animal nutrition conferences, Keystone Farm Show, Customer Meetings, Workshops, Company Sales Meetings, etc.

    Effectively utilize pamphlets, handouts and other promotional information.

    Utilizing joint sale calling by involving Sales Manager, Animal Nutritionist, and other Sales and Marketing staffPreparing reports, Route Sheets, Ration Balancer Requests, Mileage Reports, etc., accurately and timelyFollowing up on collection of paymentsConstantly enhancing current knowledge on monogastric and ruminate nutrition, procedures, managing, solutions and resources available.
