    School Crossing Guard Job Description

    Under the direct supervision of a designated authority figure, this role is responsible for ensuring the safe and orderly passage of school-aged children at their assigned crossing location. The work performed is in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.


    The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance to children while maintaining order by directing them to proper crossing areas. Additionally, they will encourage behaviors conducive to safe travel and report any hazardous conditions or situations that may arise during their shift.


    Essential Functions:


    • Provides support to children as needed.

    • Maintains order by guiding children through designated crosswalks.

    • Takes proactive measures to ensure pedestrian safety and reports any incidents or near-misses.

    • To assist students in getting across roads safely,
      promptly respond when help is requested.
      The ideal candidate should have good communication skills (written,
