- Perform a wide variety of customer service functions to assist sales staff and agents in quoting, implementing, servicing, and retaining group health insurance and ancillary products.
- Effectively utilize insurance and company systems, following established policies and guidelines to manage and respond to inquiries and issues.
- Serve as a liaison with the insurance carrier(s) to ensure timely underwriting of policies and maintain current knowledge of the insurance carriers' underwriting guidelines.
- Participate in training and testing programs as required.
- Provide customers with detailed information about policies and products.
- Process customer requests according to established department policies and procedures.
- Provide timely feedback to customers through outbound calling, email, mail, or fax.
- Train and educate the agency force in the technical information, products, and general questions applicable to the group health industry.
- Associate's degree in business or insurance required, or equivalent experience may be considered.
- Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
- Michigan Health Insurance License required, or obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Two years of experience in health insurance field preferred
