    Salary:
    $180,000

    Job Details About the Role The team is building out its core engineering group in San Francisco and hiring a Senior Back-End Engineer (Golang) to take ownership of their existing backend systems and drive them to production readiness.


    You'll be the first in-house backend hire, giving you both immediate technical impact and long-term leadership potential as the team scales.


    What You'll Do:
    Take ownership of an existing Golang codebase and evolve it toward production scalability.

    Architect, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS) using Infrastructure-as-Code.

    Build and refine CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

    Design and develop APIs and backend features that directly affect users' health journeys.

    Collaborate closely with engineering leadership and product teams to shape technical direction.

    Champion reliability, performance, and code quality across the backend stack.

    What We're Looking For: 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years with Golang.

    Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).

    Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD (Docker, GitHub Actions, etc.).

    Proven success taking products from development to production.

    Bonus points for:
    microservices, Kubernetes, healthcare or data privacy experience (HIPAA), and startup environments.
