Description:

Tanque Verde High School is seeking a Color Guard Coach for school year This person will be responsible for the development and operation of the color guard program.

Must ensure all state and national guidelines are followed.


Example of Duties:
Responsible for arranging and/or transcribing choreography for the Guard sections of the Marching Band and Winter-Guard unit

Responsible for the instruction, conduct, and safety of team members at practice sessions, performances, camps and clinics.

Responsible for attending and supervising events where Color Guard is performing per TVHS Guidelines.

Responsible for rehearsing and directing sessions of the Marching Band and Guard Ensemble.

Responsible for promoting and recruiting for band and Color Guard.

Conduct team tryouts. Assess performances and provide instruction for refinement. Assist with enhancing the atmosphere at various events where the Guard or Marching Band are performing.

Maintain professionalism while upholding team policies and procedures in accordance with TVHS and AIA core values and expectations.

Responsible for any other duties related to Color Guard Instructor responsibilities as may be instructed by the Athletic Director and/or Principal.

Models non-discriminatory practices in all activities. May perform other duties as assigned.
