    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Under supervision, provides ongoing clinical and/or case management services to a diverse CHSW consumer population including specialized treatment services in a variety of settings conducts intake, assessment, and diagnosis.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Conducts initial consumer screening intake and assessment
    • Assesses and determines consumer diagnosis/service need and develops treatment/service plans and/or makes appropriate community referral under direction supervision
    • Implements treatment/service plan using a variety of therapeutic/educational interventions in a variety of locations and settings
    • Performs treatment/service evaluations and follow-up
    • Performs routine administrative duties associated with a clinical setting
    • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with appropriate community resources
    • Advocates for the values of a diverse population within CHSW and the Community
    • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Knowledge of child, adolescent, and family development
    • Solid understanding of various treatment principles and interventions
    • Strong human relations skills to communicate and work effectively within a culturally diverse work environment and community
    • Ability to develop working relationships and partnerships and work collaboratively with teams
    • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information in a professional and ethical manner, to include protected healthcare information (PHI) and confidential identifiable information (CII), both paper and electronic
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    This job is performed in a professional office environment. The following list is representative of the work environment employees encounter while performing the essential functions of this job:
    • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, printers, phones)
    • Typical office lighting and temperatures
    • Moderate interruptions
    • Ability to work in a confined area
    • Ability to sit at a computer for an extended period
    • Limited travel to other site locations within the state
    WORKING REMOTELY:

    Working remotely is a benefit of Children's Home Society of Washington's flexible workplace, but remote work cannot be offered for all positions. Some positions require daily presence in the office. Remote work arrangements may be adjusted or rescinded based upon business needs.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard; occasionally to reach, stoop and kneel
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
    • Regular, predictable attendance is required

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in related field and currently enrolled in a master's degree program in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field. Must have already completed one full year of the master's degree program at time of hire; master's degree must be obtained within 12 months from date of hire
    • Successful completion of an internship with an approved organization, to be reviewed approved by Statewide Clinical Supervisor
    • Eligible for Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn additional software programs related to the positions
    • Valid driver's license required, must obtain a WA state license within 30 days of hire, if out of state license
    • Proof of CPR and First Aid Certification (within 30 days of hire)
    • A one-step Mantoux TB skin test prior to start of employment. For those who have previously tested positive, documented proof of treatment from a doctor or a negative chest x-ray must be provided
    • HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogens training required (within 30 days of hire)
    • Successful completion of a criminal background check
    • Successful completion of a drivers check if position requires driving on a regular basis (at least three times per week) or drives consumers. Must not have more than two driving incidents within the last three years
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Completion of internship within a CHSW Community
    SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

    The salary range for this position is $24.01-$33.11. The starting salary range for this position is $24.01-$26.29 DOE for external candidates.

    Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive 10 days of vacation leave each year, three personal days each year, and will accrue one sick day per month (pro-rated for part-time employees). Employees will also enjoy 14 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. We also offer EAP and mental health benefits.
