    Job Summary for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a crucial role in using radionuclides for diagnosing and treating diseases. They ensure adherence to standards while performing procedures and maintaining professional conduct.

    Responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    • Conduct Nuclear Medicine exams following protocols
    • Administer radioactive materials as per regulations
    • Ensure safety measures for staff and patients
    • Explain procedures to patients
    • Maintain equipment and perform quality control checks
    • Adhere to safety guidelines

    Qualifications for the Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    EDUCATION:

    • Graduate from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Preferred one year of experience as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    LICENSED/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

    • Must be certified by relevant boards and hold Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
