- Setting up all equipment routinely used on their home base units.
- Preparing room for admission.
- Assist with patient discharges
- Removal of linens.
- Answering telephone.
- Must wear facility provided identification badge.
- Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family member, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers.
- Facilitate communication to RNs to provide best care possible for patients
- Performs other work-related duties and activities as assigned or requested by his/her immediate supervisor.
- Transports patients via wheelchairs and stretchers.
- Vital signs, oxygen saturation, weights, and non-invasive specimen collection.
- Turning and positioning patients, range of motion, ambulation, and toiletry.
- Assistance with all ADL's and complete care as needed.
- Setting up, assisting and educating patients, with commodes, bedpans, urinals, sitz baths, walkers, wheelchairs, slings, venodyne boots, crutches, specific precautions- with input from PT as needed
- Appropriate emptying and/or recording of all drainage devices.
- Postmortem care.
- Ability to read, write and communication in English
- Obtain BLS Certification upon completion of the Apprenticeship Program
- The Nursing Assistant Registered Apprenticeship Program: •Includes a classroom curriculum with an accredited Nursing Assistant Program
- Includes on-the-job training
- Must successfully complete Program within 6 months of hire into Trainee role
- Upon completion of the Falmouth Hospital Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program, incumbent will transfer into the Nursing Assistant, Grade FHS5A,
- Ability to read, write and communication in English
- Obtain BLS Certification upon completion of the Will-Train program
- Upon completion of the Falmouth Hospital Nursing Assistant Will-Train program, successful passage of the Falmouth Hospital written competency exam for Nursing Assistant
- Upon completion of the Falmouth Hospital Nursing Assistant Will-Train program, incumbent will transfer into the Nursing Assistant, Grade FHS5A,

- Must meet at least one of the following qualifications: a) Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant Program
