    Associate Project Engineer (Industrial Engineering)
    Farmingdale, NY 11735


    Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is searching for a Project Engineer to drive and develop engineering solutions that will support aerospace business growth.

    As an Associate Project Engineer, you will work alongside our experienced engineers on industrial engineering projects, and you will have the opportunity to learn from them while contributing to the team's success.


    We are looking for a driven and motivated individual who is eager to learn to work through the nuances and obstacles they may face in meeting project goals.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Assist in preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the assigned engineering projects within the Industrial Engineering team
    Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, Quality Assurance / Quality Control policies, performance standards and specifications
    Interact daily with internal and external clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in internal improvement projects or external NPI product development projects
    Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status
    Cooperate and communicate effectively with other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
    Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
    Utilize available technical resources to determine most efficient methods for increased profitability

    Responsible for conforming with the company's quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.

    Perform other duties as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:
    A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar concentration
    Must have completed at least one internship or co-op while working towards their bachelor's degree in a relevant industry
    Proficient in reading mechanical drawings
    Strong communication and time management skills
    Proficient problem-solving skills
    Must have good computer skills i.e., excel, word, power point, etc.
    Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
    Time management and organizational skills
    Decision making ability and leadership skills

    Experience programming 3,4 & 5axis CNC Mills, multi-axis Turning machines Swiss style turning machines is a plus
    Familiarity with Mastercam and Solid works (CAD/CAM software) is a plus
