- General assistance as needed for Grant Leads such as writing and compiling data/information for funding/grant applications at various levels and across various agencies.
- Mapping including, collection and analysis of data to make determinations regarding eligibility/feasibility for proposed project funding.
- Non-Grant specific GIS requests such as developing visual resources for internal and external needs
- Assisting and improving documentation of team processes
- Grant specific research

- GIS Certification or 1 year of GIS work experience.
- Foundational knowledge of GIS & cartography.

Our services encompass financial analysis, securing financing, network design, project management, operational support, business optimization, and determining optimal partnerships. Conexon Connect, our ISP arm, was established to operate and manage both cooperative and investor-owned rural fiber networks.
Conexon's Mission:
Since the 1930s, Rural Electric Cooperatives (RECs) have been instrumental in providing electricity to rural communities, a legacy we continue alongside our REC clients by delivering fiber optic internet access to rural America. Today, the challenge lies not in the cost or technical expertise, but in the collective will to act. At Conexon, we believe in the potential of rural America, advocating for equal opportunities and demonstrating that American ingenuity can surmount any obstacle. Where there are electric lines for power, there can also be fiber. We seek a versatile individual with a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative analysis, capable of independent project research, planning, and execution. The ideal candidate demonstrates self-motivation, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, familiarity with GIS, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. While prior experience in broadband technology is advantageous, we are open to training the right candidate.
