Job summary
The Data Engineer will design build and maintain data pipelines extracting data from source systems transforming it through medallion architecture layers and preparing it for consumption by analytics layer.Responsibilities
- Following EDB standard design establish AWS S3 bucket structure for data lake with Red CCI security controls
- Build new data pipelines to extract data from selected SaaS-based HSE systems
- MES selection to be finalized by end of Jan Build data ingestion pipeline for selected MES via REST API Lambda-based extraction If different MES chosen change course accordingly
- Data pipeline to SaaS based HSE tools integrate into the warehouse Implement CDC pipeline in LabVantage LIMS using AWS DMS Oracle database Azure Data Factory Develop Bronze-to-Silver transformations using AWS Glue Azure Data Factory depending on domains Configure AWS Glue Catalog metadata Red CCI tags
Ongoing Responsibilities
- Monitor pipeline health troubleshoot failures optimize performance
- Collaborate Power BI Developer on model requirements quality issues Support governance compliance reviews Respond ad-hoc requests engineers Coordinate enterprise team sharing agreements standards
