    Title: Commercial Lines Insurance Claims Consultant

    Location: Ardmore, PA – 2x a week in office

    Salary: $80,000 - $100,000k + excellent benefits

    Our client, a Top 50 National Property & Casualty Insurance Broker has a need for a Commercial Lines Claims Consultant. Position is open due to growth and will be handling all aspects of commercial insurance claims. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone on the retail brokerage side to join a growing firm OR someone from the TPA/Carrier side of the industry to transition into the brokerage vertical.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage individual claims on a proactive basis from notification to closure, investing the necessary level of involvement required for each claim depending on the nature, category, maturity, type, and quantum of the claim
    • Receive new losses from clients/producers. Provide guidance to ensure they are taking the appropriate steps to mitigate their damage and are acting in accordance with the terms of the policies to preserve their rights
    • Manages all new and renewal activities from start through close.
    • Respond to underwriters' questions in a timely and professional manner.
    • Working directly with Commercial Lines Producers and servicing teams and clients to help resolve their claims.
    • Provide a high level of customer service while guiding clients throughout the claims process.
    • Support with first reporting, claim investigations/fact development, documentation of claim files, completion of claim file activities, input of data in claim systems, retrieving and reviewing insurance contract language, and calculating/recommending loss settlements
    • Provide direction to clients in submitting claims reports, facilitate prompt response from carrier.
    • Direct processing work to assistants.

    Requirements:

    • College degree in Insurance or related field preferred.
    • Active Property & Casualty Producers license.
    • Strong understanding of all lines commercial insurance including but not limited to property, auto, general liability, etc.
