    Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our Nursing Programs department at Pasco-Hernando State College. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of coursework and contribute to the academic success of our students.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and deliver high-quality instruction to meet the educational needs of assigned students in accordance with the College's policies and procedures.
    • Respond to the special needs and reasonable accommodations of students with disabilities.
    • Provide students with a course syllabus and submit copies to the appropriate Academic Dean or Provost.
    • Maintain and submit accurate grade rosters and class attendance records.
    • Assess student progress and post student grades.
    • Provide academic assistance and adhere to College and departmental policies.
    • Participate in programs and/or activities that enhance professional development.
    • Attend and participate in faculty meetings, as assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree in EMT or paramedic from an institution recognized by the United States Department of Education.
    • Level A EMS education course and current, unrestricted Florida paramedic licensure.
    • Minimum of four years of experience in the pre-hospital setting with an Advanced Life Support provider and three years experience as a paramedic.
    • EMT - American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification.
    • Paramedic - American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS Instructor certification.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Advanced organizational skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of students.
    • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders.
    • Ability to maintain detailed student records.
