Compri Consulting's client is hiring a team of Scrum Masters for a 6+ month contract. located in Greenwood Village, CO. This is a hybrid role. No third party candidates are able to be considered at this time.
The Scrum Masters job is to facilitate Agile team events & progress toward team goals, remove impediments to facilitate flow and coach to high performing teams. The SM is a key role within an Agile delivery team as it removes any impediments that obstruct a team's pursuit of its sprint goals and ultimately deliver a product that generates business value to CoBank customers and associates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accountable, along with the Agile team, for achievement of PI Objectives
• Track progress and help the team achieve their commitments. Progress is monitored daily when problems are identified work with team to develop corrective actions.
• Manage risk to delivery by raising / resolving impediments in a timely manner
• Ensure team members understand SAFe processes and support the team in following them.
• Ensure product quality expectations are defined and known across the team.
• Work with technical team and product owner balancing the interests of both when issues arise.
• Remove impediments allowing the team to focus on engineering tasks.
• Take the lead on resolving conflicts within the team removing any roadblocks to collaboration.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily scrum, refinement, retrospective and sprint review events.
• Facilitate retrospective discussions and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Management of external dependencies the team must deal with as identified.
• Maintain the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the Agile team to create a trusting and safe team environment
• Track & report team progress leveraging appropriate Agile metrics
• Cross-functional communication, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes; report progress sand accomplishment up and across as requested/required
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree - information technology or business or related field
• Exceptional people skills. Comfortable working with a diverse group of people and serve as arbitrator when conflicts arise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Growth mindset, learning mindset, strategic thinking
• Facilitation skills
• Familiarity with modern software engineering techniques such as Continuous Integration, build, deliver, test-driven development and other automated acceptance testing techniques
• Motivate and enable the Agile teams to be self-organized
EXPERIENCE
• 2-5 years of Experience serving as Scrum Master
• Banking/Financial industry experience a plus
