The role of the Emergency Care Unit (ECU) overflow nurse is to provide inpatient medical care to patients admitted to the hospital from the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities will include caring for admitted patients while they wait for an inpatient bed or assisting with care of Emergency Department patients if unit is closed.
This position will work in conjunction with the ED team.
