POSITION SUMMARY
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer designs, builds, monitors, and maintains business-critical infrastructure (as code) for an enterprise scale, cloud hosted SaaS application.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to convert technical project requirements into functional infrastructure.The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Senior Director of Information Technology but operates with a great deal of autonomy as a trusted partner to teams spanning the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for efficient deployment of resources in AWS
Work with Architects, Developers, and the Infrastructure Team to design and document infrastructure for current and new Outsell developed products
Install and configure EC2 servers (Windows and Linux) and related components for all Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) environments using IaC wherever possible
Design and implement maintenance, monitoring, and support solutions for all infrastructure resources including High Availability and Disaster Recovery plans where needed
Design and implement the allocation and configuration of all Amazon Services (i.e. VPCs, EIPs, ELBs, CloudFormation, CloudFront, and so on)
Communicate and collaborate regularly with key associates to ensure infrastructure availability, integrity, security and optimization to support the enterprise application SDLC and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) models
Collaborate with Application and Data architecture resources to evaluate, recommend, plan, implement and support 3rd party applications in the AWS environment necessary for the delivery of Outsell products and services
Proactively install, test, evaluate and recommend new AWS and server technologies
Follow relevant ITSM processes for ensuring efficiency and transparency of service and solution delivery in the AWS infrastructure
Provide 24/7 support for critical situations
Clearly and effectively report on the progress of projects assigned
Collaborate with key associates to Design, Implement and Support all Build and Deploy process (DevOps)Work with Infrastructure team to monitor, report and advise on AWS budget and costs
Collaborate with Application and Data Architects resources to report and advise on capacity planning
Demonstrate the values of Outsell in everyday interactions
Perform other duties as required
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree in computer science and
Four (4) years of experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and IaC; experience designing and implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions, ITSM processes (i.e.
Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Configuration Management), and using AWS CLI (Command line interface) for automating administrative tasks; orA combination of education and work experience necessary to perform essential functions.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
Up to 5% travel by car and plane.
Preference is for this position to be based out of Minnesota.
