    Sanimax is looking for an Environmental Engineer to support wastewater and air treatment system operations at our 3 locations (Green Bay, South St Paul, Deforest). They will serve as a technical reference working closely with environmental specialists, operators and maintenance. This individual will be responsible for environmental projects and initiatives related to air and wastewater treatment and be involved in research and development projects.

    Responsibilities include:

    Technical Support: Provide direct technical assistance for capital investment projects, equipment modifications, and facility enhancements across all country facilities, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to standards.

    Design and Engineering: Lead the design and engineering of environmental equipment and processes, from conceptualization to detailed plans, for various improvement initiatives across all US facilities, maintaining high technical standards.

    Standards Maintenance: Uphold rigorous technical standards for project execution, design, equipment specifications, safety protocols, timelines, and cost management, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

    Process Evaluation and Optimization: Analyze, test, and implement modifications to environmental processes to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs while ensuring compliance with regulations and reliability.

    Problem-Solving and Training: Support the Environmental team in problem-solving and troubleshooting, develop training materials, and conduct training sessions on environmental process topics to ensure staff competence and adherence to SOPs.

    Research and Development: Lead or participate in innovative R&D projects, such as water and air treatment studies, to drive continuous improvement and stay at the forefront of industry advancements.

    Regulatory Compliance: Ensure environmental processes comply with relevant regulations.

    Experience Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in engineering, chemical, mechanical or environmental.
    • Experience with wastewater treatment systems.
    • Understanding of the fundamentals of chemistry.
    • Experience with environmental regulatory and permit requirements is a plus.
