Pediatric Critical Care Respiratory Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend required, no on-call shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Critical Care Respiratory Therapist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pediatric and neonatal critical care, particularly in managing patients requiring advanced technologies such as Nitric Oxide and High-Frequency Oscillation Ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to pediatric and neonatal patients in critical conditions.
• Utilize advanced respiratory therapies including HFOV, HFJV, and various ventilators such as SERVO 1, Servo U, and PB 980.
• Perform assessments and monitor respiratory status in patients.
• Administer Nitric Oxide therapy as needed under critical care protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in a hospital setting required.
• Current NJ License as a CRT or RRT.
• BLS certification required; NRP preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Charge experience preferred.
