    Job Requirements

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or valid multi-state compact license

    Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, telemetry, or similar acute care setting

    Current BLS certification (AHA)

    ACLS certification preferred

    Completion of required onboarding health screenings and background checks

    Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills

    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities for collaborative patient care

    Responsibilities

    Provide post-operative care for patients recovering from cardiac and thoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve surgery, heart and lung transplants, and other complex procedures

    Continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and assessment, recognizing and responding to changes promptly

    Administer medications, manage IVs and drips, and perform post-op wound and drain care

    Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans

    Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, discharge planning, and recovery expectations

    Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and communicate handoffs clearly
