This opportunity will give you experience in the energy sector in the United States with a company that is a globally recognized leader in energy production and one of the biggest companies in the US.LOCATIONRemote – Houston, Texas, 77002(Must be able to go into the office for team meetings and reports when requested)COMPENSATION$52-$56 per hour SCHEDULE9/80(every other Friday off)CONTRACT TERM 6 months – High likelihood of extension POSITION OVERVIEW - Business Continuity ManagerRESPONSIBILITIES
    • Data Gathering and Maintenance:
      • Utilize a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) tool for data gathering and maintenance.
      • Refresh existing Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
    • Plan Management:
      • Confirm that plan management information, roles and responsibilities, and BCMT contacts of the organization are documented.
      • Ensure organizational-level plan details are completed.
    • Business Impact Analysis (BIA):
      • Review and verify process recovery (preferred).
      • Confirm process details are complete.
      • Document the BIA impact assessment and capture Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs).
      • Ensure impact rating justification is complete.
    • Critical Processes:
      • Verify that critical staff members are listed.
      • Ensure IT applications are documented with application IDs (per CMDB).
      • Confirm that all listed applications have business-required RTOs and RPOs.
      • Ensure the process owner has provided an impact justification for the loss of technology.
    • Recovery Strategies:
      • Document or create strategies to support associated risks and account for the loss of technology.
    • Compliance Tracking:
      • Verify that changes to BCPs and BIAs have been captured and documented.
      • Ensure that changes correlate appropriately with printed plans.
    • Guidance and Expertise:
      • Provide guidance on roles and responsibilities, risk assessment, BIA, business continuity processes and procedures, and recovery strategy optimization.
    • Training and Business Continuity Awareness:
      • Ensure the capability of BCP evergreen maintenance.
      • Ensure proficiency in utilizing BCP tools for making updates and printing reports.
      • Preferred experience in process recovery.
      • Experience in system recovery or IT recovery is advantageous.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
    • Minimum of five years' experience
    • Experience in process recovery is preferred.
    • Experience in system recovery and IT recovery is advantageous.
    • Process Recovery PREFERRED.
