Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer for employment within our DCS - Environmental Remediation Practices group in the Long Beach, CA office to support remediation system design and operations, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects.
This is a Technical Lead position; therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and productively in a collaborative team-environment, foster team building through inclusion and mentorship, display a high level of organization and communication, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn from Technical Leads and Project Managers.
Responsibilities include:
Remedial technology design
Modeling and analysis of remediation performance and subsurface conditions
Interfacing and writing reports to clients and regulatory agencies
Planning and managing environmental field work, including remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors
Project Management tasks including budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking
Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative
Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays
