The Semi Quality Lab Team at Tesla is seeking a Materials Engineer with a strong background in material testing analytical methods and problem-solving methodologies.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design production reliability and quality engineering to address issues and improve processes- Lead projects from concept through validation to implementation emphasizing quality- Sustain products through cost reduction and yield improvements- Use structured problem-solving tools such as DMAIC 8D and Ishikawa-Analyze data to identify trends and enhance quality efficiency-Monitor reduce process variation using SPC MSA techniques- Develop maintain FMEAs Control Plans work instructions for quality testingQualifications
- Degree in Materials Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience- Minimum of 4 year of experience in Quality Process Design Process Improvement or Operations
- Strong expertise in material testing including mechanical structural chemical dimensional testing
- Proficiency analytical tools Keyence SEMEDS Instron Rheometer FTIR XRF others is preferred-Knowledge statistical tools JMP Minitab data analysis
Experience root cause analysis MSA studies implementing data-driven solutions-
