    The Federal Reserve has developed a new interbank 24x7x365 real-time gross settlement (RTGS) service with integrated clearing functionality, called the FedNow Service.

    This service enables financial institutions to provide their customers with the ability to send and receive payments any time, any day, and have full access to those funds within seconds.

    This position is a unique opportunity to be part of this mission-critical Federal Reserve initiative that is transforming the payments landscape in the United States.

    Candidates that live near one of our Reserve Bank locations will be provided some work from home flexibility. Rules for hybrid work arrangements differs from Bank to Bank and should be discussed during the interview process.


    We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of DevOps Engineer, someone who not only embraces challenges but thrives in proactively solving them.

    If you are a self-starter with a passion for unraveling the root of issues, automating solutions, and approaching problems from a holistic perspective, this role is for you.

    In this role, you will be able to help design and implement the backbone of FedNow development automation.

    of a problem, ensuring comprehensive and effective solutions.

    Translate complex problems into manageable, actionable chunks that can be implemented and iteratively improved.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an information technology field

    Expertise

    in using git and

    Competency in using Linux/UNIX

    systems

    Competency in Cloud Computing, preferably AWS

    Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking

    Comfort with utilizing metrics or monitoring solutions for troubleshooting systemic

    issues

    Experience with REST API's and webservice solutions is

    desirable

    Ability to perform code reviews in

    pipeline code (

    yaml

    ), Docker

    , Ansible, Python, and Bash

    Ability to flexibly adapt to a rapidly changing environment and generate effective and innovative solutions to address change.

    Outstanding and persuasive oral and written communication skills that effectively reach all levels of the organization.
