Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electrical operations in diverse environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects that require precision, technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Work on construction sites, renovation projects, or maintenance environments ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections for each project phase.
- Assist in training apprentices or less experienced electricians when necessary while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proven commercial electrician experience with a strong understanding of 120/208 to 227/480 -volt electrical systems.
- Commercial electrician experience with large-scale wiring projects in diverse environments.
- Well skilled with conduit bending techniques and installation.
- Experienced with underground electrical and utility installation.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation and troubleshooting efforts.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other electrical testing devices accurately.
- Knowledge of NEC standards for electrical safety and installation practices.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects with a focus on safety compliance.
- Familiarity with schematics related to industrial control systems and electrical layouts.
- Ability to perform frame carpentry tasks or handyman duties as needed for project support.
