Our CPQ platforms enable sales and channel team to quickly generate accurate quotes and price for complex power distribution products.
We are seeking a System Engineer Intern (Summer 2023) in the Siemens Smart Infrastructure – Electrical Products business unit.This role will be part of the Knowledge Base (KB) team and help implement the variant configuration to support product launch/phase-out strategies defined by product management.
You will make impact with the following responsibilities:
Collaborate with product managers, business developers and sales to align product configurator strategy.
Lead cross-functional activities to improve overall product configurator and user experience.
Manage and organize master data related to product configurations in knowledgebase.
Ensure configurator generate correct bill of material and plant routing based on selected product attributes.
Maintain documentation and version control of the knowledge base objects.
Use advance analytics, statistics, and other techniques to help develop insight and make data-driven decision making.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing master's with focus on business analytics or engineering.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data management tools.
Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with production processes and bills of materials.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and develop, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong sense of ownership for process improvements and internal digitalization of processes, ideally with prior exposure to data analysis.
Ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

The pay range for this position is $38,600 - $66,200.
The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
