    Basic ability to read, write and speak English is required to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies and procedures.

    The Junior Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing packaging equipment, supporting both mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting, ensuring machinery efficiency and participating in machinery development projects and initiatives.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Perform all Preventative Maintenance as required

    · Interprets blueprints and schematics and basic understanding of electrical circuits and PLCs

    · Troubleshoots, assesses and repairs most manufacturing/facilities issues, including packaging equipment changeovers in a timely manner without supervision

    REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

    · High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

    · Military experience a plus

    · Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb and bend within a manufacturing environment

    EXPERIENCE:

    · Experience working in and around mechanical equipment, preferably in a food/pharmaceutical/nutraceutical environment

    SKILLS:

    · Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use all standard tools of the trade including electrical test meters

    · High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills

    · Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    · Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed

    The approximate hourly pay for this position is $$*. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.​
