- Plan, layout, and manufacture guards with consideration of depth, clearance dimensions, and location of frame hold-down points in accordance with plant standards.
- Form sheet metal in simple or complicated shapes by stretching, shrinking, or forming through the use of machines.
- Read sketches and drawings and maintain reasonably close tolerances.
- Communicate with team members and leaders to provide work updates.
- Maintain safety by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- A technical degree/certificate in welding, metal fabrication, or a related field preferred, or 2-3 years of related experience.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to work safely.
- Ability to learn basic blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to learn G&M code.

Job Description:
The Guardmaker & Sheetmetal Fabricator will work within the machine shop and be responsible for forming various sheet metal designs using sketches and drawings. This position will also involve the use of machines and tools to aid in guard manufacturing.
