Position Title:
Project Management, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate:
$19.00 (Undergraduate)
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
Overview Of Department
Long Island Railroad (LIRR) Special Projects department manages the planning, design, construction, and implementation of the project for the benefits of our customers from theirinceptionto successful completion, while adhering to the specific project's scope,scheduleand budget.
Assistin monitoring project milestones, documenting progress, and reporting performance to stakeholders.
Assistin collecting, organizing, and distributing feedback, ensuringtimelyimplementation of comments.
Assistin recording meeting minutes, tracking action items, and following up on BIC.
Assistin monitoring project timelines, budgets, and generating progress reports.
Participate in safety training, promote safety awareness, andassistin ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Assistin conducting field visits to inspect project sites, resolve issues, and provide feedback to the team.
Assistin developing and analyzing project budgets,monitoringexpenses, and addressing cost discrepancies.
Support procurement strategies, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and trackingtimelydeliveries.

Required Qualifications
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite isa must.
The candidate shouldpossessorganizational, analytical and communication skills.
The candidate should be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
The candidate should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work independently while being an active team player.
Required EducationMatriculated in an undergraduate program in good standing with at least 2.5 GPA
Major(s)
Preferred:
Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management; or related field.
