- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet production goals and customer demands.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production output and minimize waste.
- Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, maintenance, and quality control to ensure smooth operations.
- Recruit, train, and supervise factory staff, including production workers, supervisors, and support staff.
- Set performance goals and provide regular feedback and coaching to employees.
- Ensure a safe working environment and enforce safety regulations and procedures.
- Resolve personnel issues and conflicts as they arise.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Optimize the use of machinery, equipment, and other resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Develop and manage the factory budget, including expenses for labor, materials, and maintenance.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
- Work with the quality control team to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
- Communicate production updates, issues, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Prepare regular reports on production output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments to address cross-functional issues and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office).
