We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Billing Specialist you will be responsible for accurately processing billing workflows. This position will involve revenue cycle management to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. The main function of this position will be resolving unpaid claims.

Responsibilities:

• Review for appropriate codes CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10
• Revenue cycle management
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation or clarification for billing purposes
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
• Collaborate with the team to ensure accurate billing practices
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Stay updated on OAR's and industry changes and regulations related to medical billing

Skills:

• Proficient in medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation
• Knowledge of medical collection practices, full revenue cycle management
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Biller, preferred not required
• A/R collection experience, minimum of 2 years
• Experience with EHR programs

Salary: From $19.00 per hour DOE

Work setting: Hybrid, mostly remote during regular business hours. Monthly in person meetings.
