    Job Description

    Jack Henry & Associates is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join the Gladiator Centurion team. Gladiator is consistently recognized as a leading Managed Services Provider.

    The Centurion suite of products and services provides industry leading disaster recovery and resiliency solutions to financial institutions throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

    In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our Centurion Disaster Recovery Services. This includes banking/ credit union core and complementary products featuring 4|sight, iTalk, Synergy and many others. You will also assist with hardware install, maintenance and coordination with clients.

    To be successful in this role, you must have a firm grasp in technical support including, but not limited to, network connectivity issues, server-based application errors, and VM (virtual machines) errors from multiple hypervisors.


    The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills combined with the ability to provide proficient communication and customer interaction skills with the ability to function well in a highly integrated team environment.

    This position can be based in one of the following locations: Monett, MO / Springfield, MO (Blackman) / Allen, TX / Birmingham, AL (main location) / Lenexa, KS / Mendota Heights, MN or Angola, IN


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have a minimum of 18 months of combination work and or school /internship experience in any of the following fields: Systems / Network Administrator and or Systems / Network Engineer.
    • Must have experience working with any of the following: Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL, Unix or Linux.
    • Travel is up to 25% to Branson for hardware installations.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Experience with MS SQL Server.
    • Experience with Windows administration.
    • Experience with VMware.
    • Experience with PowerShell.
    • Experience in the Financial Services industry.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Interacts with product support personnel, and potentially the customer, when the customer's problem cannot be resolved directly by firstlevel resources.
    • Provides technical assistance to customers. Provides support to customers/users if product issues are encountered. Analyzes the problem as described by the customer and determines the best course of action.
    • Interacts directly with the customer/user when the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature, such as with systems level software where the user has a technical background.
    • Includes all appropriate departments to facilitate a successful resolution to any client issue.
    • Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to software engineering. Creates defect records on all reported issues with supporting files and examples for development to create code fixes.
    • Prepares test environment when necessary to simulate, document or recreate errors or problems reported by customer to determine appropriate action. May prepare test environment and test new enhancements or other internal quality testing.
    • Maintains familiarity with company products by attending training classes, observing experienced support personnel, reading software documentation, and participating in online training programs.
    • May bid and complete Customer Work Requests (CWRs) in accordance with company standards.
    • May be involved in customer installations, upgrades, and training.
