Maintenance Technician Job Summary Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities follow all work instructions and safety policies including use of PPE and safety equipment examine machine controls to install plate changeovers start-up machines for production needs when required perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment machinery repair basic mechanical components replace parts on machines such as bearings filters wiring valves gauges switches observe listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of the problem dismantle devices to gain access remove defective parts adjust functional parts of devices control instruments inspect used parts determine changes in dimensional requirements lubricate clean machinery support equipment maintain housekeeping preventive maintenance standards within plant document track changeover times record accomplish all work orders maintain safety reduce downtime decrease scrap improve quality production improve plant efficiency follows all safety rules procedures including Lockout/Tagout program housekeeping S standards observes operations ensure safe work environment perform other related duties assigned
