    SUMMARY:
    Are you ready to enhance your clinical skills in a unique safety net setting?

    We are currently seeking a Mental Health Professional - Licensed to join our First Episode Psychosis (FEP) team. This full-time role will be on site Monday-Friday. This role is part of an interdisciplinary team for early interventions for schizophrenia. This is a grant funded role, currently funded through 6/30/2025.

    Purpose of this position:

    Following an empirically-supported treatment model, a mental health professional provides direct mental health services including screening, diagnostic assessment, psychoeducation, and psychotherapy services to persons living with mental illness; evaluates care and programming; and develops programming as needed.

    Work in a multidisciplinary (MD, LP, MHP, RN, case management, voc rehab, peer support) clinic offering psychotherapy.

    A $ hiring incentive is available for eligible external candidates (contract/temporary workers, current employees, and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Participates in multidisciplinary care team rounds
    • Provides mental health services including initial and ongoing screening, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning (including regular updates), psychoeducation, psychotherapy services, crisis services, referrals, and discharge/termination planning
    • Completes necessary documentation for accurate and timely billing of clinical services provided
    • Provides psychoeducation to patients, families, and community organizations as needed
    • Provides care coordination including discharge/termination planning
    • Assists in maintaining standards of accreditation by health management organizations and state licensure/certification
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Meets criteria for "Mental Health Professional" as defined in MN statute
    • Master's degree in a behavioral health field

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience providing psychotherapy groups and experience working with adolescents and young adult persons living with mental illness, especially psychotic disorders, and addiction

    Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:

    • Ability to counsel and instruct patients and families
    • Ability to recognize and document patient progress
    • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of the multidisciplinary clinical team
    • Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds including ability to deal objectively with individuals whose attitudes and behaviors differ from her/his own
    • Ability to read and interpret written instructions, patient charts, and physicians' notes
    • Ability to interpret policies and procedures in an advisory capacity
    • Ability to use computer systems, including electronic medical records, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, etc.)

    License/Certifications:

    • Must be a licensed Mental Health Professional per MN statute - LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC
