    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to computer hardware and software systems.
    • Resolves tickets representing staff-generated technical requests or problems and troubleshoots technical issues to maintain productivity.
    • Maintains system functionality and capability by testing computer components.
    • Consults with users to determine appropriate hardware and software needs and facilitates procurement.
    • Maximizes computer systems capabilities by studying technical applications and making recommendations.
    • Tests compatibility of new applications.
    • Confirms program objectives and specifications by testing latest applications, comparing them with established standards, and making modifications.
    • Installs software and necessary applications for workflow.
    • Trains users on new software and technical best-practices, often in collaboration with technical writers.
    • Carries out software, network, and database performance tuning.
    • Documents hardware and software updates.
    • Keeps up to date on technical advancements by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
    • Prepares reference material for users by drafting operation instructions.

    Required Skills:

    • Bachelors degree in related Technology field or on-the-job training preferred
    • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an IT support specialist.
    • Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and Windows OS.
    • Problem-solving skills: Ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
    • Training skills: Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users.
    • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Time management skills: Excellent time management skills.
    • CompTIA Certifications preferred: A+, Network+, ITF+
    • Other preferred Microsoft Certifications: MOS, MTA, MCSA

    Hourly pay rate: $45-$55/hour DOE
