    This is a 13-week contract position.

    Schedule

    Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with an obligation to work every 3rd weekend (3rd Saturday and Sunday).

    Job Description

    Under the direction of a qualified physician, performs a variety of technical MRI procedures necessary for the diagnosis of disease in humans.

    Ensures compliance with department standards and maintains an accuracy rate of at least 99% in all technical procedures.

    Responsibilities

    Prepare and perform MRI procedures to ensure high quality results.

    Schedule appropriate time for each patient and regularly review requisitions received.

    Prepare and administer opaque contrast media with 100% accuracy.

    Process images within 30 minutes of examination completion.

    Translate physician's orders into accurate radiographic procedures.

    Maintain patient logs and equipment downtime records.

    Collaborate with radiologists to develop effective imaging protocols.

    Assume charge technologist responsibilities as needed.

    Follow protocols for stat and emergency studies.

    Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of supply needs.

    Transport patients safely within the department.

    Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

    Assist patients and families during their stay.

    Cross-train in other applicable areas.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    Minimum of 1 year prior experience as a licensed MRI Technologist.

    Must possess a valid NJ State MRI License.

    AART (MRI) certification required.

    Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
