ALA - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Alabama)

A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Weekend Shift CNC Machinist plays a key role in producing high-quality medical devices by operating and doing basic setups/change-overs multi-axis CNC equipment and confidently identifying X, Y, Z, and 0 coordinates. Scheduled on a weekend 3x12 shift (Friday -Sunday), this position is responsible for simultaneously running multiple CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and plunge machines while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and consistent output.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
• Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
• Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Completes all required training.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred)
• 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)
• Experience operating CNC Mills or Lathes independently (Required)
• Experience using measuring tools, (ex. Calipers, height gage, indicator) (Required)
• Experience reading basic blueprints (Required)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Machining Trade School (Preferred)
