**Graveyard Shift Needed**
Serves as cashier and stock clerk during majority of time, assisting customers with their purchases and ringing up items with accuracy and promptness. Keeps the store clean and shelves well-stocked during shift.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Performs cashier and front counter duties.
• Ensures customer is of legal age to purchase liquor, tobacco or cigarettes, lottery tickets and pull-tabs; requests proper identification as necessary according to state law and/or store policy.
• Rings up sales, receives payment, gives correct change or processes credit card.
• Bags purchased items.
• Performs opening and closing procedures as necessary.
• Assists customers with questions as appropriate Performs stocking activities.
• Ensures shelves are fully stocked and items are properly positioned.
• Assists with unloading deliveries, moving stock to and from the storage areas; assists in checking in deliveries.
• Re-stocks shelves in beer cooler and places excess stock in designated storage area
• Fills cigarette packs and cartons.
• Bags ice and makes available in cooler.
• Counts assigned section for weekly inventory and marks accurately Performs general cleaning activities in and around store.
• Mop and vacuums floors
• Cleans shelves and counters by dusting or washing as needed.
• Cleans back room, bathrooms, and washes dishes.
• Picks-up trash from backrooms and parking lot
• Maintains store in safe manner for customer and employee.
• Shovels and salts sidewalks, cleans up spills, mops and puts out cautionary signs as needed.
• Keeps rugs flat and straight.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of items sold in store (types and brands of beer, wine, and liquor) and their shelf location.
• Skill in operating a computer cash register with accuracy and speed for editing, bar coding and entering product items.
• Skill in correctly stocking items
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition and subtraction) and quickly and accurately make change.
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, public and assist.
• Ability to prioritize work tasks and work with direct supervision.
• Ability to operate a phone, calculator, computer, computer cash register, and credit card machine.
• Ability to exert light to moderate physical effort and perform work that requires recurring movements such as bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, twisting, lifting, climbing, and carrying; Lifting includes up to 50 pounds (cases of liquor, beer and large orders) for restocking cooler and shelves.
• Ability to determine when identification should be required and to refuse service.
• Ability to work independently and initiate cleaning and other tasks to maintain store appearance at all times.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers and supervisors and ability to appropriately respond to intoxicated person(s)

Qualifications:

• Have an up to date or working towards a TAM and/or AA card.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Preferred retail and cash register experience with regular customer contact
