Job Summary
The HVAC/R Mechanic installs,services and repairs heating
and air conditioning systems in various
establishments.
services and repairs environmental‑control
systems in residences, laboratory spaces,
living quarters, galleys,
go buildings and commercial establishments.
and condenser units on platform or floor,
unfollowing blueprints or engineering specifications.
Fabricates assembles installs ductwork
and chassis parts using portable metalworking tools
welding equipment.
Pipes to correct length shape cutting,
solders joints torch forming complete circuit refrigerant connects motors compressors
temperature control panels power source.
Cleans filters installation injected small amount of refrigerant test systems adds gas prescribed operating pressure observes vacuum gauges adjusts controls proper operation starts units adjusted optimum performance troubleshoots repair/refrigeration/air-conditioning/gas/heating DDS system periodic maintenance checking trouble desk reports tests connections leaks electronic detection wraps pipes insulation batting secure place cement wire bands replaces defective breaker controls thermostats switches fuses electrical wiring repair installed units electrician hand tools test equipment may install range quarter to three hundred eighty-five tons cooling capacity large small buildings performs related duties assigned work classifications incidental accomplished work assignment significant accompaniment wage adjustments applicable.Job description
