Job summary
The Quality Welding Inspector will perform non-destructive testing for welding, including visual inspection, magnetic particle, dye penetrant,and possibly ultrasonic.
This person is also required to perform general inspections using specifications
or approved criteria dimensionally inspectings water tightness etc., as well as completing all associated documentation requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive welding qualification program
- Evaluate weld processes ensuring adherence to specifications codes and standards
- Perform NDT inspections primarily VT MT PT Dimensional inspections Review modifications implemented by production validate work close in BAAN Prepare inspection reports and non-conformance reports for issues found in production Work directly with production drive improvements reduce discontinuities/defects detected Continuously improve welding processes analyzing data identifying trends implementing corrective actions Collaborate with engineering production other departments optimize weld quality productivity efficiency Ensure compliance regulatory requirements industry standards customer specifications related to welding Maintain accurate up-to-date documentation Complete root cause analysis implement effective corrective preventive actions Utilize strong analytical problem-solving skills Communicate effectively verbally written Attend training meetings Participate quality improvement initiatives Self-motivated team player Strong interpersonal communication skills Essential daily operations Ability lift up 50 lbs Report injuries illnesses day incident Report unsafe conditions identified respective work area Comply CAF USA safety policies procedures requirements Wear Personal Protective Equipment PPE times Keep respective work area clean orderly Attend CAF USA required training Not operate any equipment unless authorized This position does not support immigration sponsorship We prohibit discrimination race color gender age religion national origin sexual orientation gender identity expression disability veteran status legally protected status We ensure individuals disabilities reasonable accommodation participate job application interview process perform essential functions receive benefits privileges employment Please contact request accommodation The wage range this role takes into account factors making compensation decisions skill sets experience training licensure certifications business organizational needs Disclosed range estimate has been adjusted applicable geographic differential location position filled Reasonable estimate current range $25/hr $35/hr}
