- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
- API-510, API-570, and/or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred.
- The successful candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in a related filed.
- Proficient in welding engineering principles, fitness for service assessments, engineering critical assessments, fatigue analysis, and materials lab analysis.·
- Strong business acumen and understanding of business development in a consulting environment.·
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both technical and non-technical.·
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively.·
- Proficiency in proposal writing and reviewing, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.

Position Overview
The Principal Engineer for Welding Engineering, Fitness for Service, and Materials Engineering (Doer-Seller) is a pivotal role within Kiefner and Associates, Inc. The role encompasses welding engineering expertise, fitness for service assessments, engineering critical assessments, fatigue analysis, and materials lab analysis. With a primary focus on technical excellence, this position balances responsibilities across project execution, proposal refinement, and business development, embodying the spirit of a true doer and seller.
