    The Distribution Center Assistant Manager organizes, directs, and controls the activities of the operations function of the distribution center. Guarantees the delivery of our merchandise to stores. Meets quality and safety standards in the process and procedures of receiving, order filling, and returns of merchandise while maintaining the facility and equipment in optional conditions for maximum productivity. Responsible for the performance of all department functions of receiving, order filling and packing, returns, logistics and QA. Oversee personnel in the warehouse in order to facilitate timely and accurate shipping and receiving of merchandise. Must be able to manage all aspects of operations and maintain an effective balance of communication between management and all warehouse personnel while maintaining the trust and respect of their team.

    Responsible for:

    • Responsible for performance of all DC operations, processing, and inventory management.

    • Lead and develop team members through one-on-one interaction and coaching, consistently model the behaviors and is an enthusiastic leader.

    • Ensures all team members are trained per the company guidelines and operational requirements.

    • Plans, implements, and monitors the day-to-day operations for receiving, processing, picking, packing and all other warehouse activities.

    • Ensures fulfillment of all inventories to all retail and web stores

    • Ensure company meets all compliance needs and regulations as required by state and deferral governments.

    • Experience with FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS< both domestic and international. Also experience with managing and procuring Air, truck, and sea shipping

    • Must be proficient with computers including Microsoft and Excel.

    • Plans, implements, and monitors the day-to-day operations for the packing, warehouse, and distribution functions.

    • Accountable for the functions that receive, handle, pack/repack/ distribute, and storage of all merchandise, and supplies that come in and out of warehouse.

    • Develop and execute production demand plans and schedules.

    • Make cost effective and timely decisions regarding departmental requirements with regard to quality control, procurement, logistics, etc.

    • Maintain accurate inbound merchandise delivery estimates: communicate with all departments and necessary parties.

    • Ensure fulfillment of merchandise delivery for the sales dept.

    • Ensure company meets any compliance needs with shipping of merchandise as guided by customer.

    • Coordinates with corporate to facilitate delivery and labor needed for special merchandising projects, new store openings, moves and closings.

    • Maintain the maintenance of all company vehicles and forklifts.

    • Works with temporary agency to fill DC labor needs.

    • Ability to work to the needs of the business.

    Physical Demands:
    The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, reach and lift for a minimum of 10 hours. You are required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel inventory. objects and/or tools. The employee must regularly lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.

    Required Experience:

    • At least 1-2 years of Lead experience for retail distribution industry/operations or leadership experience required.

    • Strong computer skills requirement – data analysis and creation.

    • GED/High school diploma required.
