- Manage all aspects of concrete construction on commercial projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and direction to on-site crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Oversee the installation, placement, and finishing of concrete structures, including foundations, slabs, walls, columns, and other components, while maintaining quality control and adherence to project plans.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on the job site.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to resolve technical issues, address design changes, and optimize construction processes.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assessments to identify potential issues, ensure workmanship meets quality standards, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of concrete materials, equipment, and tools to support construction activities and meet project milestones.
- Keep accurate records of daily progress, labor hours, material usage, and other relevant data to track project performance and report on project status to management.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee subcontractor work to ensure alignment with project requirements and expectations.
- Provide training, mentoring, and support to field personnel, promoting skill development, safety awareness, and teamwork to achieve project goals.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing commercial projects from start to finish.
- Extensive knowledge of concrete materials, techniques, forming systems, reinforcement methods, and finishing processes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate, delegate tasks, and motivate teams to achieve performance goals.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills to address challenges and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and best practices for construction site safety.
- Experience with project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting (e.g., Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet project deadlines and support construction activities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites within the designated area.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred).
- Additional certifications related to concrete construction and project management are advantageous.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work at heights.
- Stamina to withstand long hours of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling on uneven surfaces.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for operating tools and equipment.
- Excellent vision and depth perception for inspecting workmanship and reading construction documents.
