    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • As a member of the SpaceX IT Systems team, you will support the secure deployment and operations of multiple mission critical systems and services, with a specific emphasis on Microsoft enterprise software platforms and technologies.
    • You will work closely with other SpaceX IT and Information Security peers to design, deploy, and develop tools and infrastructure that accelerate and simplify the delivery of secure systems and services within SpaceX.
    • You will have a high degree of responsibility for the processes, systems, and tools you create and manage; all in support of the goal of making humanity an interplanetary species.
    • You have a strong desire to script, automate, and develop solutions to common design issues with a security focused.
    • You recognize that performant and reliable systems must also be secured from threats, both internal and external.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, math, physics, or similar technical discipline and 4 years of Windows systems administration experience; OR 7 years of Windows systems administration experience

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience with Active Directory, with a specific emphasis on:
      • Security-focused design (Red Forest design, trust design, Federation)
      • Authentication Protocols (Kerberos, NTLM)
      • Group Policy architecture and implementation across Windows clients and Servers
    • Experience with Enterprise Microsoft Exchange deployments:
      • DAG design, replication, and database redundancy
      • Role and permission delegation within an on-premises Exchange deployment
      • Discovery search, Archiving, and quota/retention management
    • A detailed understanding of Windows processes and services, both user-mode and kernel-mode
    • Scripting and automation experience; Windows Powershell and Powershell DSC experience
    • A thorough understanding on networking on Windows platforms across multiple layers of the OSI model
    • Experience managing multi-tier PKI environments, specifically leveraging Active Directory Certificate Services (Template and enrollment design, CRL publication, HSM implementation, etc.)
    • Experience in process auditing, logging, and analysis
    • Experience designing secure systems for high-reliability / mission-critical / 5-9 environments

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be willing to travel occasionally
    • Must be willing to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical milestones
