- Provide comprehensive professional radiological services.
- Operating x-ray machines, producing and developing x-ray films, using approved industry standards, scheduling procedures, logging procedures, collecting statistical data, ordering, and stocking supplies.
- Evaluates radiological orders to determine positioning, test procedure needed and protective measure necessary for diagnostic testing.
- Schedules radiological testing as directed by medical provider.
- Monitors system for logging all diagnostic tests performed according to inmate name, number, location, and test.
- Provides professional services to inmates to include diagnostic assessments, and clinical interventions.
- Documents both handwritten and electronically in an accurate and timely manner to provide comprehensive inmate records.
- Promotes and is accountable for the safety and security of the clinical and correctional environment through conscientious observations, and sensitive item contraband control.
- Informs supervisor of any violations of safety and security through the report writing process, attends training programs as assigned, including self-defense courses to ensure self-protection skills.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and facility regulations.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with patients, staff, and visitors following communication and safety protocols.
- Completion of required training as assigned.
- Report all incidents, accidents, or potential hazards in accordance with established policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Current and valid national licensure through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution in Radiologic Technology or other closely related field.
- BLS/CPR certification is required.
- Skills testing prior to hire and annually as required.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must complete the onboarding and hiring process including application(s), documents, competency testing, background investigation(s) and drug screening.
- Backgrounds must be clear of any felony convictions.
