    We are seeking a full-time Arabic/Hmong/Karen speaking (preferred) Refugee Resource Program Case Manager-Intern to provide case management for immigrants and refugees.

    Additional Primary Responsibilities:

    • Provide translation and interpretation between English and Arabic/Hmong/Karen as needed (preferred)
    • Translation and assistance with other service providers.
    • Ability to use and navigate online & virtual translation tools and software
    • Applications for Senior and public Housing
    • Referrals for services that arent provided by our organization.
    • Assist clients in applying for jobs in collaboration with BSU Job Developers, and assigned FEP
    • Assist case managers and other Community Service Liaison/Refugee Case Management staff as needed.
    • Other case management services as neededincluding but not limited toassistance signing up for and understanding utility services, change of address, providing information on transportation, health care, and other services.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Fluency in Arabic/Karen/Hmong and English spoken and written communication (preferred)
    • At least 6 months to 1 year Case Management experience, education, or equivalent
    • Experience with or willingness to learn about the Middle Eastern refugee and immigrant experience
    • Commitment to working with clients from a variety of religious, national and ethnic backgrounds
    • Commitment to working as part of a collaborative team
    • Flexibility and a sense of humor (IMPORTANT)
    • PC literate
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)

    - High School diploma or equivalent with 0- 2 years of experience.
    - May have additional training or education in area of specialization.

    - Acquires job skills and learns applicable policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
    - Able to read, understand & perform assignments within prescribed guidelines.
    - Communicates routine information in a clear and accurate way with internal & external contacts.
