Job Purpose: LegalEASE is seeking an experienced Finance Accounting Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and serve as a key partner to the Controller. In this highly visible role, you will lead a small accounting team, ensure accurate financial reporting, support close processes, and help drive process improvements and internal controls across the department. This position offers meaningful responsibility and a clear path for professional growth.
What you will do:
- Oversee routine accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Manage timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries, financial schedules, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with financial statement preparation and variance analysis.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately four accounting staff.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, high‑performing team culture.
- Drive best practices, internal control improvements, and process efficiency.
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional partners and communicate financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
- Support leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.

- Strong interpersonal skills for working with executive leadership and team members.
- Core proficiency with Excel, Word, PDFs, and structured data documents.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience managing or leading a team.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Preferred:
- Public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience.
- Experience in a growing or multi‑entity environment.
- Familiarity with ERP or mid‑market accounting systems.
- CPA designation in progress or interest in pursuing CPA.

Compensation: $95, $115,000.00 per year
